Ricksen is out...

No big surprise in Ricksen leaving to team up with the little general in Russia at Zenit St. Petersburg then. This was always going to be a likely destination and while I am sorry to see him leave I hope this move works out for him and that he gets the privacy out there he wouldn't get from the Scottish media. The fact that we have arranged a friendly with the Russians is good as it will be a good reason to say hello to Advocaat again or give him abuse for the way he ran up all that debt.
So what else then? Well yesterdsays reserve defeat to Dundee Utd posed a few questions- Was it lack of desire, lack of quality in the team or simply a bad day at the office? I am not sure which to be honest but if there are players in the reserves with pretensions of a first team place then they wioll have to do a damn sight better that is for sure.

Finally, Filip Sebo is keenm to get in amongst the goals hopefully against the Pars on Sunday and lets hope he does or at least getsa more than 21 minutes in which to make a real impression. The boy looked good in the time he was on the pitch on Saturday, now lets see him take it up a gear.

Til tomorrow then.

Tied match: 2-2

Well the result was a let down but the performance on the whole was good with some notable exceptions. Svennson and Rodriguez really need to get it togther as we cannot afford slip ups like the goals conceded onn Saturday and the one the week before at Motherwell. The football was grand at times and its the football I have seen Rangers play in a long time. If only we had more time we would have got a winner I'm sure. Thankfully there was no sectarian singing that I heard but there can be no complacency and we have to hope that this carries on, both at home and away. The Dundee Utd fans trying to goad us into singing Billy boys etc are a disgrace and perhaps they should be investigated, after all if the rules are universal they must apply to all clubs regardless of circumstance.
