Winning away from home to start off a campaign in a new league - a new nation - a new home - may just be the most normal accurance so far in the saga of Le Gaffer.
The Gers took home a 2-1 victory over Motherwell at Fir Park this afternoon which led to a collective sigh of relief from loyal Bears and Bearettes all over the globe. But, winning is nothing new for Le Guen. Having to send a player to rehabilitation and remove a team from a lousy diet may be.
Fortunetly, the product on the pitch has a Le Guen marking on it already as we look fit and ready to take care of the business in acquiring league title number 52 this season. It is early in their campaign, but one must imagine that our work rate is up to par with any team in Europe. This surely increasing the chances of Rangers putting up a remarkable season in front of a fanbase needing success to wash away the taste of last season.
So, we are off then...into a season full of hopes and dreams...instead of curry.
